FEBRUARY 2025

Dear subscribers,

We begin this month with the very exciting news about the successful two-day consultation on Gender Transformative Agroecology held in New Delhi 29th-30th January. The workshop brought together three networks of civil society organisations - the Mahila Kisaan Adhikar Manch (MAKAAM), the National Coalition for Natural Farming (NCNF) and the Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture Network (RRAN) - alongside early career researchers and practitioners to outline a strategy to bring gender to the centre of agroecological transformations. The meeting follows on from our two day Seeding Futures Webinar in November and was supported by the Well-being, Ecology, Gender and cOmmunity (WEGO) ITN. Over two days participants outlined a shared roadmap for Gender Transformative Agroecology within policymaking and programs in India which will be shared soon among Network’s members and more widely.
