NOVEMBER 2025

Dear Network Members,

This month we are excited to highlight two activities which the FAN organising team has been involved in. The first is a new paper published in the Journal of Agrarian Change titled The Ambiguous Ecologies of Agri-Alternatives: Exploring the Calculus of Social Reproduction. The paper explores the ambivalent and zig-zagged ways in which farmers in rural India engage with alternative farming in their fields and how these seeming contradictions might be understood through the lens of social reproduction. Following on from the arguments advanced in the paper, some of us will be organising a panel at POLLEN 26 in Barcelona on the theme Deromanticising Agroecology. You can find more on the conference, CfP and how to submit a paper here.

We hope you will enjoy the newsletter!

Warmly,

The AgroFutures Team
