AGROECOLOGY AND ART

The Centre for Humans & Nature publishes creative work that explores and promotes human responsibilities in relation to the whole community of life. For their 2025 call for submission, they welcome writings and artwork on the theme of seeds, as both the offspring/wellspring of plants and also as metaphors for resilient reimagining and active adaptation. This year’s submission window will be open from June 24th through July 15th, 2025 at 11:59 pm CDT. When submissions are open, a link will appear here: https://humansandnature.org/submission-guidelines/

We also wanted to share the first episode of Agroecology as a Movement: Social and Political Education, produced by the LandWorkers Alliance. This is a well explained educational video exploring what it means to practice agroecology as part of a larger struggle towards achieving food security, social justice and environmental equity.
